Let us take you on a magical journey into the hill country of the Monchique, where we can explore this area of the Algarve where time seems to have stood still. We leave the Mediterranean climate behind and start to pass lost villages as we head up into the pine and eucalyptus scented highlands

We visit the almost mystical village of Caldas which has stood here since Roman times, this small village hidden in a valley surrounded by pine and cork trees is our first stop. We have time to try the world famous spring water, and who knows maybe even try the local Chouriço bread that has been baked in the one time village community brick oven.

We then head further into the mountains before stopping at a country restaurant for lunch consisting of typical local food and wine, this will also be our first chance to try some traditional liquors from the area

After our delicious meal, it’s back on the coach and we head for the Foia of Monchique which is the highest point in the Algarve. Here we can spend time taking in the breathtaking views known as A VISTA DOS ANJOS yes the “view of the angels” before trying the local firewater and shopping for those all important souvenirs

Finally to round off a perfect day it's off to a local winery. Yes we pay a visit to the Adega do Cantor, which is the location of, Sir Cliff Richards vineyard in the Algarve, this the setting for the final part of our tour, we can enjoy an escorted visit with a member of the vineyards knowledgeable staff there is also a photo opportunity, with one of the most stunning views in the area. Its then off to the winery cellars for a wine tasting lesson and a chance to sample three of the stunning wines that are produced here at the Adega Do Cantor (the cellar of the singer).

There is an opportunity to buy souvenirs from the winery, before departing and taking a leisurely drive back to your Hotel or pick up point
